My heart gently weeps
for the loss of your love
and the wee babe in your arms
that you once held so dear.

Through the eyes of a child
and the passing of years
that make up your memories
laid to rest in your words.

For all of your days
remembering when
inspires a tear
that stings in the wind.

From the love that you've sown
and the gladness you've known
and the strength of your will
in the face of despair.

Touches me deeply
bringing hope ever after
a comforting solace
that reads like a prayer.

Embraced by the angels
on the wings of a dove
shines from the heavens
in the light of his love.

(I was compelled to write
since I can't seem to recover tonight)

Hugs~

Yes, their love and strength come shining through, giving lessons to us all.

Glad you got your muse back. This poem is sensitive, warm, loving and humble.
I enjoy it a great deal.

touching. and any poem that's directed to
someone is always commendable. this is
even more special though, because it was
heartfelt.

Lori,
Seldom is friendship felt deeper than through life's sorrows. How tender your caring from such a far distance. Yet close to my heart I hold these words dear. Thank you.

(And isn't it interesting my daughter was Ginger Michelle.)

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

If you could read your words through my eyes you would know how much you've moved me.

Thank you for reading and giving me the opportunity to reach you somehow.

Therein lies the love that you've sewn
(not sown.........aaaaaaack)
I'll leave it alone,  because when it's
all said and done the thought remains the same~

Peace~
