I feel the pain of loneliness,
And fear the lance of neverness,
I touch not on night's starlit skies;
Hear not the songs of love's reprise.

Is true love but a fairy tale,
A story that the bards regale?
That I must seek and never find,
A figment of my mortal mind?

I ask myself does love exist,
Is there a love that I have missed?
Is it that my life I squander,
As I seek love in endless wander?

Alone I sit in silent ponder,
As I gaze aloft to welkin's yonder.

Oh no, Tim....
True Love is definitely not a fairy tale. I know it's real,
and I hope that one day you will find it and will know for yourself....
.
.
Now, if you weren't talking about yourself, personally,
you sure did make me think so....

There is  definitely true love, and once it will cross your path too.

From what I have read of your poetry in the past, you are a man who knows the answer to the question posed in this heart-tugging poem.

Very touching...

Warm hugs,

Tim...Sometimes the heart's perception changes, and definitions blurr, while true love remains the same, just waiting for you to come back again.

I feel the pain of loneliness,
And fear the lance of neverness,

hmmmm, yes, it does make you wonder!

You conveyed the loneliness so well.

Good poem Tim~

I think it only becomes a fairy tale when you don't allow yourself to believe it exists!  Poetry for thought here and a wonderful read.
