In many ways
I wish I could forget today
But that won’t stop tomorrow
From kicking me right back down

I didn’t know whether to reach out
Because no matter what I do
I’ll never be as good
As any of you

And today just seems like yesterday
Didn’t matter
Even when I’m smiling
It’s so easy to step down

And I want to
Please take tomorrow away
Because of how much I hated today

No matter what I do
It always finds its way back
It has its way of bringing me down

All that was right
Turns on me, wrong
And what my face shows
Is nothing to what’s within

This shadow is mine
My place, my own
Because the light is taken
By you, the stars
The people whose paths
Are only meant to succeed

Leaving my reflection
Rippled and unclear
In the very puddles
Of my own tears.

small insignificant useless me

Oooh deep n dark. i've felt this. so absolutely stuck in life. you write of it well.

Leaving my reflection
Rippled and unclear
In the very puddles
Of my own tears.

rippled and unclear. such a soul darkening feeling. you'll come out you know. if you keep writing like this, you'll write yourself out. like a therapy. except its free!

lots of love, gemma xxxxxxxxx

learning each day, for you and i, our paths have met, i've already learnt that you are love.

My old grandpa had a way of putting things when I was growing up..that always helped me keep things in perspective. I read this..understood the feeliings so well...and thought to myself..what would he have told you? Then I remembered he had told me one time, " No matter how good you are at what you do, there is always someone better. Thing to remember is no one else is you and will do things the way you do them."

At the time... that didn't mean much to me but later in life it did... I can't measue myself by who's better or who's worse at things than me, but by how hard I tried to do the things I do and the unique piece parts I bring to the table when I sit.

your poem made me type all this out...and ramble on...so you brought something unique to this place to get those thoughts out of me... thank you.
