THE NOTE

My friend has died
She committed suicide
I knew things were bad
But I never did I realize she was so sad

At first, I noticed the glint lost in her eyes
She constantly told me she couldn't take anymore lies
Her dad hit her until she couldn't even scream
She felt as if her life was a big, horrible dream

She left me a note
It was found inside her coat
What it said made me cry
And as I read it, it felt like a part of me had died

The note said: "You were like an angel to me
You made me realize what real friendship could be
You were always there
And I knew I could go to you when things got unfair

"I'm sorry if I ever hurt you
And when I got you mad I'm sorry for that too
Everyday of my life I went through the same pain
Always going down and never any gain

"I was tired of everybody always tearing me down
I never wore a smile, always a frown
I think my life was the worst
I don't think I ever came in first

"Please never let anyone get to you
And don't you ever regret anything you do
I'm always going to love you forever and ever
And I promise I won't forget you, never."

I never was that sad as I was that day
How I wish I could've helped her get rid of the pain
I wish I could turn time back
So I could give her all the help she lacked

I'll always miss her no matter what
And I vow right now, I'll keep all of our memories locked up shut
I hope she's in a better place
And all she has is good to face.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Amy, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, this is indeed a very sad and difficult debut yet you speak with such sincerity and I know your friend loves you and her loved ones very much and I pray all others can allow to be helped and to avoid this kind of tragedy from repeating itself, my prayers are with you! If this is a touch of experience that has recently touched your life, you left a very compelling message why people should not commit this act.  Thank you for sharing, and Welcome to Passions!

Hi babygrrl,

This was a hard one to read and a lesson in reality that some have such unbearable things to face in their lives, but there are people like you as her friend and places to go that can help so that no one ever has to go to the point of your friend. I hope to see more of your work and welcome to Passions

Love, Cerenity

Welcome to these blue walls. I understand this devastating heartache. It makes you feel so helpless, so vulnerable. It's good that you can write it out, that you can comfort yourself by holding onto those memories of your friend with compassion and unconditional loving thoughts.
