State of suspended inanimate

The crater punched Moon
invades
a bruise colored sky

Mean light mid-block
a lean and darkened
alley

Cavalries of clouds had
quelled
a solar skirmish,

shortened by winter
yet
bloodied at it's end

Cirrus remnants,
dregs,
picked over the abandon field,

mere whisps
looting
fresh sprung stars,

sacrifices
to camp followers
of Mars

smothering souls
at their
outset

The battered Moon
alone
shone heroic

Sole
sentinel of light,

Pendent pug
persist

I like these little morsels.

It's flash photography,
capturing something as big
as the imagination with no
boundaries.

Imagery, inner rhyme in time,
some alliteration...

yep!  A Poem!

Welcome to Passions!

======================

very cool surreal image... the whole poem is wonderfully painted with the stars of your words.
Something very familiar about your writing..will have to watch for more.
Weclome to Poetry Land Poet Bardo...so nice to meet you.

If made to choose between the power of writing a poem
or the ecstasy of a poem unwritten I would choose ecstasy
In the end it is better poetry

(smiles) Oh Henri, this is a gorgeous debut, sweet friend, this is gorgeous as Lady Luna indeed is the sentinel of love, to glow and nurture our children with her blanket of light as they sleep, I LOVE IT! Welcome to Passions, sweet Henri, may you be inspired by all of us here as we will all be inspired by your lovely words! I can't wait to read more of your lovely words, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Henri, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
