The Stain

A stain remains upon my beach.
I fear that it will never leach.
It glares at me in sun and moon
And in the wrap of garments loom.

Although it happened long ago
It stays my mind and will not go.
It feathers in my pen like sin
A spirit sad without a grin

One would think a thing of past
Would rot and shrink the stoutest mast
But no, I say it is not so
The glow remains and will not go.

Beware of what you say and ask.
Guide your tongue reflect it’s bask.
Do not let emotions wail
Freight it’s led the ship you sail.

And though you sail a goody wend
It stays with you until the end,

I like this one!
You always have suchhh good rhyme
and wonderful themes and morals too.

Too many people live on emotions and aren't careful of their words. We all do in some ways...

Always, Alyssa

May we only see the stain of one
after that, the battle won
'tis a ship that must sail a course,
lest there be three more on horse...

Yes, indeed we must watch what we say and do.
They have a way of coming back to haunt us.
Excellent pearls of wisdom here Sy.
Teas on!!

Seymour - wonderful words of truth this morning. Enjoyed this with my tea. Hoping it is as sunny where you are as it "finally" is here...hugs, Chris

that line is cooler than a mere moth could ever have words for.

I believe the name of this ship is "Emotions Wail."

If made to choose between the power of writing a poem
or the ecstasy of a poem unwritten I would choose ecstasy
In the end it is better poetry

Mr. T., you expressed these thoughts so eloquently and I totally agree with you...

***
the spoken word
is pure energy
and therfore
it cannot die
once uttered
it cannot
be taken back
for energy
can be altered
but never
can it be destroyed
take care
in what you say
your words are like
never-ending ripples
on the great
Sea of Life
((((((((( O )))))))))

Warm angel hugs,
EA

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Seymour, this is so very true, sweet friend, there is so much we say and do that is thoughtless yet the message always comes back to haunt us! (sigh) you describe this curse well, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
