I don’t mind
Taking the time to walk the aisles
Though at times
They seem to be cluttered miles
Of repeat themes.

It’s sort of nice
For I’ve been there so many times
More than thrice
And don’t get bothered by the lines
Of the many

It’s many
Possible choices I might just take
The plenty
Yet it’s the same choice I’ll make
Every time.

No hurry
And still I can be surprised at times
No worry
The surprises are not just all mine
But for many

When I start
Going the way I always go through
With a cart
Even if get just an item or two
And just looking

For next time
I might get oranges or grapes
Or a lime
Perhaps eggs for some crepes
Or a soufflé

Then I’ll see
The condition and aisle they’re on,
There they’ll be,
Waiting for I shop far beyond
Convenience

Gloom

You do indeed - and you write far beyond the obvious... I liked this one a lot, PG...

hmmm..

I remember a shopping experience
once with someone rather tall.
The humor in his disposition
made me laugh as I recall.
Each isle, was found a jingle old,
each item held he, smiles unfold.
Yes, I recall that special day
when inconvenience had it's say.

Prof., when I read this a second time, I got lots more of your meaning...I'm coming back later to read it again. I'm sure I will get even more from it then.

I gues it's obvious that I really liked this poem...

I say "in and out"...

"wham bam, thank you Sam!"

I don't have much patience for WalMart, but it's the only place I shop.
