Where is the freedom that used to be
Lost in time where not to see
Cast away as chip that twirls
Til tossed to beach on ocean curls

To lay waiting upon the sand
Til picked up by questing hand
Where full of dreams in magic lay
Taking the senses beyond the day

Horizons beckon with siren’s call
Freeing the mind from block of wall
Whispering a word more felt than heard
As imagined beat from winged hummingbird

A smile does creep over treasured found
Winds take aloft on silent sound
To free the soul out of apathy
Bringing home the freedom that used to be

Quite the poem, I really like it.  I'll have to look for more of your pieces.

I bleed, you all read, and may the blood never stop spilling for loss of emotion would be all too damning.

Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky.
We fell them down and turn them into paper that
we may record our emptiness.

I truly enjoyed this read, especially:

"Where full of dreams in magic lay
Taking the senses beyond the day"

It let my mind drift upon the waves.

Apathy is right, sir! We are, I fear, about to find out just what it is to lose more of our freedom.

Good to see you here again!
Hope all is well.
