Tormented wisp with breeze in dance
A canopy of full and wide
Stark the pillar well in stance
The sun upon below to hide
A contrast that the eye does see
This wonderful and vibrant tree

Ahhh, lovely! I have two weeping birches in my front yard and I love them. Had to come in when I saw the title and I enjoyed the visit!

Succinctly done. I will say, I'd love to enjoy a longer one on the subject, as well, as they are such wonderful trees. Mind you, not "instead," but, also.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Rick, I always see something so clearly with your poems; an emotion, an image. Perfect.
