I...

feel the outline of you,
traced with eyes
wanting to believe you are there
but only empty reflections, a faceless you
to bring me a message of aloneness

took a journey
down a road of dreams
trying to remember
what it felt like
to be loved

deceived myself
and couldn't settle
for less

will live for the moment,
tucking away the future
but will always
have the words in their place
next to my pillow
to be touched by hands
that touched yours
having made those dreams come true
if only then...

Thank you Nan and Sy...memories are always there to warm...

Thank you Pat...I am working off of an old tired computer (I made the mistake the other day of telling a friend on here that I have never had my computers crash...and darned if it didn't  the other night) So my words were all I could feel this morning since I  seem to have come down with some "bug" besides the one my good computer has

Duncan, thank you..that's my favorite part too...because it is the truth

M
** I am spending the morning updating this computer while my other is at the "Doctors" for a diagnosis so if I am  not responding to poems much today it is because I am on  s  l  o   w
s  p  e  e  d...and downloading the  programs I need to be on line.

Sorry about your computer. I know how computer trouble is. And, I will be missing your replies, but understand completely.

I don't think that I've ever NOT been able to relate to what you write...and feel it in my heart.

nakedthoughts is right -- you lay them bare and help us feel every sensation as we live it through your words.

A sweet and masterful piece of writing, that will haunt me for a while.

Our dreams never seem to last long enough...
it's as though they rest on the cutting edge of reality and never truly fall away.

Love your writing Maureen~

I could feel your words. And when that happens, those words have to be good.

Enjoyed.

I don't think I could respond more succinctly than Nan, her words are right on about your words!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
