I've been mistaken,
for a happy child.

I've been repeated,
as a sad child.

I've been mistaken,
as a stupid child.

But all I really am,
Is a grown child,
almost 18.
That hasn't quite found her way.
I am lost in this time,
that is floating by so fast.
I am trapped in this rain that
falls so cold to the ground.

I am beaten to death with these drops
of liquid called tears,
I am bleeding from my thoughts.
I'm trapped in a hole and burying deep.
I can't see the way out
from this hole that engulfs me
lost in the trench lost in my mind

I've been mistaken.
Here yes I have
Mistaken, I am taken.

I have encountered that in others and probably felt it too among loved ones or strangers who try and see similarities or like to 'identify' with what you appear to be to them..funny there is SO MUCH misconception especially between cultures that are insulated, let alone within one's own culture..be gentle with yourself..such are learning times

hmm, I am not qwite sure what you are trying to say but yes cultures are very different and feelings react in differently in different cultures.
