Warmer Thoughts

Cold to the nose was the glass
She peered out from the warmth of her cocoon
watching the wind dance with the trees
  Icicles hung from windows
pointed like jagged dinner forks
  from across a barren field

She was the only witness to the tundras' stillness
feeling the solitude of the struggling sun
There barren bird feeders stood out in the woods
no customer's today, a market void of demand

Sleep has it virtues
  the world needs no medication
Soon the new will replace the old and
  the cycle will begin again

Swift chills lead to warmer thoughts
Her nose was beginning to tingle...

Golly Miss Molly! This is absolutely golden!
You are most assuredly a poetess! There is no mistaking that!

Warm hugs

EA,

Thank you Earth Angel. Gee, it's nice to hear from you. I miss spending the time here. It doen't take long to fall behind in the reading of all these wonderful poems. I have a lot to catch up on. I love this site and all the great poets here. (You must know that you are one of my favorites!)

SG, I love your poem, as I do all your poetry.

I understand what you mean about getting behind on the reading. I haven't been here as much lately, either, and I've really gotten behind, too.

BTW, I miss seeing you when you aren't here.......

Garysgirl,

Thanks for stopping in. Yes, I have caught a few of yours today. When I'm in need of a reality check and some warm fuzzies I look for garysgirl.
