Warm Me If You Can With Words

Warm me If you can with words.
The air around me chills the soul.
Less than ten degrees, the high.
My fingers freeze and lose control.

The Arctic seems to have made its way.
Collecting east, the coast in whole.
Warm me if you can with words.
Decrease the chill that nips my soul.

I fear the bed looks good to me.
The coverlets, like arms, console.
Please me with your words of warmth.
Replace the heat the heaven's stole.

Sing to me of lover's play.
Cast off the cold, this Winter's day.

M

* darn it is cold here!!!!

Boy, you guys have got to move here...it's cool, but not freezing!  I like the thoughts in this poem, and hope that you have yourself a nice warm day!

A truly happy person is one who
can enjoy the scenery on a detour!

Maureen, it's cold here, too, to me....I just won't say how cold. Try to stay warm, Lady......

Thank you both..I do believe I am about to
make a hot chocolate, and crawl back into a
warm bed (it's heated) I should try
exercising but I am even too cold
to do that.

So appropriate for the day.  (Don't forget the marshmallows)

I know it's cold in Florida, too. But Ethel..it is so cold here that I had to keep my cat company in bed so she would stay warm. She actually came downstairs to get me, complained so loud until I followed her back up.

Hmmm..I think I forgot the Marshamallows..I shall put them on my shopping list. The only problems is, I would make that having hot chocolate with my marshmallows...(a sweet tooth that I don't feed  enough.)Thanks Duncan

not much warmth to find JamesM, thank you.

Hope it is warmer where you are Dixie, although I hear the chill has extended your way.
Thanks,
M

yep, it got about.....oh.....I'd say.....10 degrees here

Welcome to Florida!

still, people visiting from up north were in shorts and tank tops...didn't even bother to ask where they are from...as they walked around saying "gee, this is great weather!"
