* happy 3 years at Pip Janet
(remember these?)

Joyful angel wing hugs
And butterfly kisses
Noticing every heart around you
Extending love to all
Then there's that 3 am reminder..........

Mysterious as ever, that
Ache we've come to know so well
Raining upon your heart.........
I feel every word you write, our
Exquisite.......beautiful.....Butterfly Slippers

Janet Marie takes her tea
………..most raspberrily
Steeped in thought
With a twist of rhyme…….a poetess in quiet time

Gifting our blue pages
With love and knowledge….……….transcending ages
Heart pure and magic true
Raspberry passion with wistful hue

Music in words…….with ease and flow
Butterfly kisses…….will let you know
Stay a while……………………..…have some raspberry tea
Get to know our beloved Janet Marie

SEA!  How wonderful that you did this for our Moth Queen!  For our new members, I hope that they take advantage of our Smart Search and go through the archives to see just what this Queen of the Moths can do, and how she sets the candles to burning...singing wings all the way!

Congratulations, Janet Marie, on your very swift three years here!  Here's to 30 more!

Beautiful.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

SEA,

What a sweet thing to do. Loved your poem. I haven't read much of her poetry but her replies on others have taught me much. Quite a talented lady, as are you.

Enjoyed, Hugs, Pat

What a sweet thing to do, Susan.

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn

Susan, now I know that this means much to her and I thank you for those wonderful words to my bestest buddy.  You are a dear one.

Janet ....

Garden of My Heart

No longer is there a thorn ...
in the garden of my heart
No longer is there drought...
forming a layer of crust
No longer are there weeds...
smothering my love's desire
For within your friendship...
I have found the promising trust

Your sweetness and tenderness
have pruned with such care
Your gentle caring and nurturing
cried an abundance of life-giving tears
Your laughter and your smiles
disposing of all my broken dreams
Through your loving sincerity
I have released all my fears

Forever there will always be
gentle breezes of kisses for you
Forever there will always be
perfumes of memories lofted in the air
Forever there will always be
new blossoms of love waiting for you
As we tend to the garden of our hearts
in this love we will forever share

Mark Bohannan

Well this seems to be the perfect time to remind you of this simple fact.  Since the time I have been here in passions, you have become the best friend anyone could hope to ever have.  Since the time of this piece being written, you and I have covered more ground than some do in a lifetime and I want to say thank you for every second.  It seems fitting that this piece remind me our first real visit together being the fact that the botanical gardens of St. Louis will never be the same again ( if they only knew when they said .... " sure come on in and enjoy the gardens" ... rofl.

Of course no garden would be complete without a butterfly or two and not discounting the butterfly house but, I think you far outway the beauty that any of them could ever hope to have on their wings.  I have watched you grow in poetry, in life, as a person, and more so as a trusted and cherished friend and I have witnessed you turning in your moth wings for those lovely butterfly wings you now adorn.  Funny how each step you take in life brings more color to them and yours my dearest friend get brighter every day.  Now of course we couldn't forget that beach either now could we?   Would you believe that I have not seen a Monarch on the beach since you left?  Hmmmmmmmm, wonder why that is rofl?  (shhhh....must be that Aquarian thing ... ya think?)

Well check your mail box later my dearest butterfly as there is yet more snow on those beaches we walked together and it seems fitting that a blanket of purity be on them today as there is no better way to celebrate the wonderful things you have added to my life.  You know I love you my friend.....from the depths of my heart and soul......you have seem it all and taken the time to know me better than I imagined letting anyone get to know me.  Now don't give away those secrets in the book okay?

You wanted something and you keep asking so here is a little taste for you .... hope it satisfies for now.

I awoke
to the whisperings
of midnight stretchings
only to find
that those shimmerings
we call stars
are flecks of silver
adorning
her celestrial strands ...

On this night
she must be brushing
her curls
in anticipation
as I now stand
~here~
in the midst
of silver showers
refecting off
the glimmerings
of Luna's light
as each fleck
of silver
winks at me
as they cascade
around these sands
that so warmly
embrace the footprints
you and I gifted
to the curls of Neptune.

Anticipation
in the pending
moments
yet to be spent
as these shores
moan softly
from your absence
and the reflections
you alone cast
across the ripples
of these waters.

Each wave
carrys your name
and every breeze
kissing
these beaches
still holds
the perfume
of your smile.

I close my eyes
and I feel
your essence,
your heart,
and your soul
deep within
these chambered songs
I carry with me.

Each lyric
one of growth
and quiet comfort
and each one
written
to a tune
of etheral friendships
left to be nurtured
at the hands
of "His"
loving grace.

Susan,
Awesome! How totally sweet of you to do this for JM and to remind the rest of us to participate in this wonderful event.

JanetMarie,
You have blessed my life in such a deep way. Rich are the gifts you offer and precious are they to my heart. Always will I love and respect who you are and how much you have come to mean to me. Don't ever go away, okay?

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Well done Sweet Sea....and I loved your Acrostic thinggie...I've never been able to write one though..just ain't got the talent...but I do know about them:

Isn't this the definition of Acrostic?

A crostic is a poem form
C ontaining a device
R hyming's not essential, no it
O nly makes it nice
S ometimes it is difficult
T o write acrostic muse
I t took a lot of patience

Well needless to say the moth is in tears...
or as Dunc says..."soggy moth" *L*
You guys make me mothy heart smile and humble me, truly. It seems too much to be thanked for loving to read your poetry...and its I who am grateful for the inspiration and generousity of spirit that we share here each day.

When I found this place, I was so lost and lonely and the poetry and the bonds that grew out of our sharing has been such a healing factor in my life. We get to know each other thru our words without judgement based on what we look like, or our status.

I am better for having been touched by all of you. Thank you seems to little to say for that gift.

Mark,
the words thank you will not begin to touch what my heart feels at this moment...if tears count for anything...you're a rich man right now. And because you know me so well, you already know what your words of friendship and the poems mean to me. "Garden" has been engraved on my heart since Open 9 when you gifted it to me.
Since then what we have built across time and distance has become so much a part of me that I cant ever imagine not having you in my life. Who knew 3 years ago that a promise kept between 2 friends would change the way I look at everything. Thank you for the new poem...I am beyond words for how the beauty of yours touched me. I have missed reading your magical poetry almost as much as I miss spending time with you and the ocean.
Thank you MC ... you just met me halfway and took it to a new level.. yeah...must be that Aquarian thing.
I love you my friend...beyond words and poetry. Thank you for being a moths best friend.

I was reborn on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay
Virginia hasn't yet faded away
I keep thinking tomorrow is coming today
So I am endlessly waiting
