Dear readers,

I am new to this forum, infact I've never been to one before.  I hope that I might add some new interesting blood to this site.  Here is one of my poems, hope you enjoy it.  Though, they are only a small example of other pieces I have written.

~I'm only~

Looking into a mirror so cold,
Seeing many within the glazed glass of time,
To see that,
I'm only,
Myself,
A weathered knight,
A broken crusader,
And a dishonoured karate-ka,
With tear stricken eyes,
And a heart full of a love for thee,
I'm covered with a callused skin,
Scars of the many betrayals,
Something inevitable in its own way,
Its own passion,
To cause the loss of innocence,
I'm only,
A broken dream,
A tortured hope,
A love that could be,
Might even be,
I'm only,
Broken from a innocence that no one knew of,
Tortured with pains no one will ask about,
Pains no one will tend to or care for,
I'm only,
I'm only me,
Only what you see and there's nothing more to me,
I'm only.

Well, thank all of you for your posts, this seems to be the right well to have poured my own works into.  I look forward to sharing more.  Here is one more of my example type pieces, hope you enjoy it.

~Bards~
We here,
Conclave of both sorrow and joy,
We weave intricate and enticing ballads,
Memories and stories,
We hold the world with a word,
Control emotion with even the tiniest of syllable,
Though we are the true myths,
Living many lives within one,
To us it is both blessing,
And curse to remember what is oft forgot,
And so,
With poetry and writing as our shield,
And song as our sword,
We fight battles without gracing the battle field,
We share romance without being loved,
And entice the world with mysteries that have no answers,
We are the last of what once was,
We are bards.

Beneath, there is more beneath, but, what is there in the end?  More beneath?  Or something more?

Wow, I wasn't expecting these sort of responses so soon, I'm at a loss for what too say, other then I'm glad I decided to come here.  I can't wait to read and comment on some of the poems here, for, that is the true reason for my being here.  Again, I thank you kindly for your comments -=bows=-.  And I look forward to seeing what you think of some of my other poems.  And as far as where I had this fit of excitement at the intence atmosphere, well, twas at school, I think I scared a few people....  Well, take care all.

Beneath, there is more beneath, but, what is there in the end?  More beneath?  Or something more?

Well, hello Joel....WELCOME  TO  PASSIONS

You have certainly made a grand entrance here with both your poems. And, yes, I do believe you will fit right in with this great big "family of friends" here at PIP. We are just a great big bunch of friendly people who love poetry. It sounds as if you do, too.

Sorry I was so late welcoming you, but I haven't been on here much for the last couple of days. That's unusual for me, because this really is my "home" away from home.

Again, welcome..............
