Present in sequenced worlds of how me move
a cartoon animal's ..to fit a groove
entertain us through words we do not heed
the frame of their walk is all we need.

a plump rauchy gait enters bent to sneak
a low crouched hunter crouches to peak
his keen dog's snout samples fresh tracks
could it be a chipmunk or a jumping jack?

the chipmunk has just collected his basket of goods
and prances carefree through the brush, understood?
not expecting a barrel to be pointed to its head
a cartoon finale... we as kids used to dread.

but the cartoon character had a way of surprise
and the chipmunk would be given talent unsurmized
he'd check the hunter's gait on his trail
and offer his produce there..at low sale

the hunter is confused..his prey's supposed to worry
he scratches his chin.."ain't you supposed to scurry?"
but the chipmunk relied on an age old techinque
continued to skip instead of being laid oblique.

you know the end..all's well that ends well
typical of a child's fairytale
animated miracles... words cannot say
illustrated cartoons forever here to stay

Cool poem.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

I enjoyed reading this as well.

I had a wonderful time at Disney, just to see the way animations are created and meet the people behind the scenes...it's amazing!

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Martin, I love cartoons so very much, Walt Disney was truly a genius, and gave something for all the children that will never be forgotten and I will always have him as a hero to me! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this brought out the child in me, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martin, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Hey Noah,

Good to hear from you again, missed your comments for sometime...as you know these writings are actually little vignettes of my life...I heve been teaching myself to do cartoon characters and build my paintings around them

Nancy,

always enjoyed the way a word would be said by the posture animated figures took

Passing Shadows,

and there's so much learning to be had by appreciating the way animation gives life
