‘Tis a time
When springs passion
In bloom… for others

Lovers step tall in latest fashion
Yet, mine eyes cannot see,
For they are blinded by an old fashioned love
The hearts circulation chokes
Bequeath a slow death
By vivid memory

Are you there?
Are you choking from the blood of silence?
Lest you too, blinded by stubbornness
Your code of defiance?
Do you watch the lovers in the streets?
Yearn to smell the scent of love again?
Remember when, that scent was ours?

That breeze you feel is me you see
That whippoorwill you hear,
Sings my song
In addition, when those church bells ring
On a Sunday afternoon
May the Lord above send you a message
That wasting our love…was wrong

Dennis,

Liked this equally well as all your others. You write heartache so well.
Hope this is not a current event.
Best yet, if it never was.

In any case, Hugs, Pat
