Alive at my fingertips
I’ve found masterpiece upon covered ground
further back enough to reach round
and grasp the picture perfect present.

You fuel each shade of content
that hangs outstanding of disbeleif.
I whisper my thanks with open eyes
to whom may be listening.

I catch the clouds reflecting
in windows to souls that are yet to be free.
My every word bounces back with the light
It means not to them, what it means to me.

Beautiful beautiful ruptures
engage me in your stare
as these memories reach new meanings
breathlessly, the sight of you is only mine.

Night can never intrude
My love
Is fully awake.

I feel that for love to be a life enriching experience, we should try and remain as awake as possible, not to believe that someone has no faults, and can do no wrong. this i have found only leads to heartache. we all make mistakes. living in the fantastic fairytale land of love is great, but often people forget to keep the reality, and their independance. so when u see me getting TOO mushy and dependant, hit me!

learning each day, for you and i, our paths have met, i've already learnt that you are love.

Gemma, nice poem and great piece of advice to all who love.

I think the last line is fabulous:
"...Night can never intrude
My love
Is fully awake."

Good poem... I really enjoyed the read.
Thanks for sharing.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.
