~*Heart and Quill*~

Thank you, God, for Autumn breeze
That warmed the winter's chill
For season of a miracle
That touches heart and quill

Thank you for the gift of Grace
Fruition of a dream
And thank you for the tenderness
Of grandma's face agleam

Thank you for the inspiration
Found in rhyme of friend
And thank you for the poet's heart
It's nature to transcend

Thank you for the countless gifts
Too many to include
And thank you for another day
Of heartfelt gratitude

~vlraynes

And thank you, Karilea, Nan, Autumn Ellen,
and Lauren Grace, for the inspiration.

"...until you have read the verse on his heart,
you have not truly met the poet.

Having children is one of God's many blessings;
but having grandchildren is His better way...
of showing us that our children are fine,
that He'll provide for them sunny days.

Of course there'll be some rain, some wind,
some difficult times to traverse;
but knowing that children inspire poems...
is so evident in this verse.

This is the reason we don't count our tears,
nor let fear stay our journey through this world...
for when one's heartstrings are touched by child,
like a balmy kiss, love billows, unfurled.

~*~

Thank you Vicky...for the fact
that you were inspired, and for
the love of your pen.

Ahhh Girlie..anyone ever tell ya that you got a poet's heart?
What a lovely tribute to two of Passions grandest grams and their beautiful new arrivals. Are we looking at two future poets? Passions future Mods?  LOL

Indeedy... This is simply wonderful, Vicky - Thank you for your sweet words...

I'm grateful for Autumn's breeze... I surely wish she'd open her eyes once in awhile though - How'm I gonna show her off properly?

I would say "Aww..." but that would be completely out of character, and I can't. Suffice it to say that I loved it.
