Life’s Road
Tanka
By Paul Wilson

Forks faced on life’s road
Chosen fork doesn’t matter
Future we can’t see
Alone we face the challenge
What matters is our actions

gemma~ Thanks for the nice reply. I was sort of inspired by all the people that say they made the wrong choice when faced with two paths to choose from. It's not that they chose the wrong path, it's just that after they got on their chosen path, they did the wrong things, so no matter which path we take we have to work at making the right things happen...Paul

Paul,

True. I find (found) going backwards on a one-way path to be just as detrimental as waiting for the next fork in the road. And choosing what seems to be the lesser of two evils is mind boggling as well. Someone told me once (a reformed J. Witness) that all roads lead to God. I suppose that is true, too. Our actions are important, nothing ventured nothing gained. Often the wrong path for me was a chance to sharpen my tolerance, patience and perseverance.... tolerance being a lesson I've more work to do.....

Thanks for this for it causes me to think and ponder....

Smiles, Pat

Pat~ Your words help open my eyes, for as you say all roads can lead too or away from God, we just have to read the signs and make the right choices.
Thank you dear lady for your sweet reply.
Glad you enjoyed...Paul

'Tis true, we can't ever go back,
and there lies our better judgment and intuition, in hopes that we make the right choices when we come to the many forks in the road that cross our lives.

Thank you for these wise words of yours Mr. Wilson~

I liked this, Paul.  Except that one doesn't always HAVE to make The decision, alone.  There are those lucky couples who are much stronger and wiser than just either of them, singularly.
You definitely hit your stride with this effective Tanka, Paul.  Great job!

Jeff...Thank you kind sir for stopping by and taking time to read and reply.
As you say we never are alone in making our choices, I always look to God for help when the problem is too much for me to handle...Paul
