The Sad of a Fool

Her other lover stays her bed
Hold each other as if they’re wed
She coddles him without a blush.
He clings to her in silent hush

Wraps around her with his heat
And does not care the place of seat.
He’s always at her beck and call
Although his body rather small.

He is hot when he is on
And he’s rarely ever gone
And here I stay denied the night
Twisting turning till the light

But I cannot throw him out of bed
Or harm a hair on his padded head
He holds the secret to her pleasure
And she has made him her treasure.

I never thought I’d be so sad
Over a simple heating pad

HaHa!!Seymour, I enjoyed the laugh this early....

I thought when I first started reading that instead of the "other woman", you were writing about the "other man"...

Now you realize at first I thought it was a teddy bear that stole her love?  A heating pad!  Sy, I have lost out to an antique car, and a woman but a heating pad, now that is a first!

I love writing with a punchline at the end.  At least a heating pad doesn't shed or have other animal attributes.  Trust me, you're better off.  KJ

Thank God it's a simple heating pad. For a split second ah thought ah was reading a poem about a tolerant household of three.

It's amazing I won. I was running against peace, prosperity, & incumbency.
