Listening to every heart

The Dance

They laid hay down
‘cross yard still fresh
fiddler played on,
as hay was threshed;
and feet?  They played
long day-dreams time,
I called you “love”,
you called me, “mine”.

You must be a real country girl at heart. It's nice how we remember the fun times. I enjoyed reading this

I just said, "Yehaw!", then of course I had to laugh myself off this chair, but came back to say the beautiful image this did put in my mind at first before I got silly.

Do you know that I'm a fiddler?  This is a beautiful scene.  KJ

Thank you for the sunshine Sunshine.
A pleasure to read.

It's amazing I won. I was running against peace, prosperity, & incumbency.
