flight of doves,
skyful of iridescent white,
falling snow cascades down mountaintops
onto winters parched grass
warming sleeping baby's breath beneath,

etheral radiant goddess of love,
woman/flowerchild
waiflike poet
vision of grace,
fair of face,
angel eyes,sparkle
pierce with cupid's arrow,
thru his once guarded heart,

a boys first love,
poetic inspiration,
rare jewel to treasure,
she beckons him
in dreams,
with softness of voice
out from his dark walls,
towards her light,

i watch his young heart
shine through her eyes,
i love her too,
this delicate flower,
she is amanda,
goddess within his tender heart

This was absolutely beautiful - both the poem and the inspiration behind it.  Wondering if Amanda has read it...

I never had a boy, so I do not
know this version of a mother's heart...
but I am so appreciative
of the fact that
you, do.

Michelle, this is so beautiful. I love the way you are seeing this. I'm glad. too, that you like Amanda. That makes it a lot easier for your son to share with you these feelings he's having with his first love.

It brought back memories of me and the first guy I was truly in love with....(not one of my crushes or puppy loves). He will always have a special place in my heart. I was only 16, too. It must have been something special to him, too, because he always talks about me to my parents when he runs into them (they live in the same town). We probably wouldn't have broken up if my parents had not made me quit dating only him. they said we were getting too serious....

Oh well, if I'd married him, we would probably still be married. Then, I never would have gotten with my wonderful Gary. That would have been a tragedy, because I honestly don't think anyone else could possibly love me as much as he does.

Sorry, Lady, I didn't mean to say all that. You know how long-winded I get sometimes.
