I'm
always
stunned
to find
the
hidden
way I feel.

Sometimes,

your poetry
shocks
me!

I didn't
know
you
knew
me
so
well.

Better,
it seems,
than I
knew
myself.

It does seem
that some have
"that way"...

like you.

Well done.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Patricia, it can be so dangerous when someone seems to know you more than you know yourself! (sad sih) I guess clarity is the only antivenin to treat the infection, this is powerful, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Patricia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Karilea,

Thanks for reading and replying.

Noah,

That's one interpretation, but not my meaning. Beside, I don't think it is dangerous for someone to know me better than I know myself, some pay those people good money to tell them that which they do not know, or help them figure it out...."clarity to heal this kind of infection"???...sorry, I really don't understand your meaning... but, that is okay, for the nice thing about poetry is we use it and view it according to who we are....

my meaning is that some of the poems I read shock me, as it seems that poem was written just for me, because the words of such, tap into a  sealed portion of my heart or mind; touching a feeling I was not consciously aware of, or, one I thought I had dealt with long ago. Good feelings and bad feelings. That is what I mean....

Thanks for reading and replying.

Pat~ Very enjoyable and somewhat scarry poem.
I have felt that way about certain poems also.
Like that person had unlocked my mind and peaked inside without having the key to do so.Almost like being robbed of your intermost thoughts, but nobody knows it but you...Paul

Paul,

What an interesting reply. I am glad you shared your feelings and thoughts about this.

I personally don't feel that way, for I am always glad. Clearly, to me, that then is an area which I need to look at and change or grieve or enjoy (if good feeling) .....

I do understand what you mean, but no one writes just for me.....their poems have nothing to do with me, but, alas, we all share the same feelings. I think of it as sort  of  ~A God Thing~, He knowing when it's time to grow a little more or let go something I was subconsciously holding onto....

I see it the same as standing in a book store reviewing a book of poems, finding one that seems it was written just for me....same here....but, costs less, for I'd buy the entire book, just to ge the one touching poem....

smiling here and so glad you took the time to read and answer...Hugs, Pat

Pat, I know what you mean, too.
.
I've experienced this when reading classic poems, even. But when reading here, it seems sometimes that a poet has looked through the computer screen and down into my heart or mind....knowing exactly what I'm thinking and feeling.
.
Though it's not a scary feeling to me, as mentioned earlier, it is a funny or odd feeling.
.
Actually, it helps me to know that I'm not the only one having the feelings of happiness/sadness....joy/hurt....love/indifference..etc.
.
This is a good poem, Pat. It made me think, which is very good...HaHa!!

Ethel,

There are some excellent writers here who can write so raw that I've felt my heart being ripped out and my gut-wrenched. No, no one knows that unless I tell them. But there is no shame in feelings. Shouldn't be, but, oh my gosh, what would someone think if I "lost it"....that is old stuff for me and I am just glad to see me through others poetry...

Also, some melt my heart by their compassion, empathy and ability to write love and loving poems about everything from friendship to honor to self to others....

maybe the title of:

"It Seems You Wrote This Just For Me" would have been just as or more appropiate.

Glad you read and responded,
God Bless, Pat

it is amazing, isn't it.. slightly frightening, but the in a way, comforting to know that you must not be the only one going through it. Shocking though, certainly.
And different, but an essence of the same, I have a good friend who always knows exactly what I'm going through, can see through me, or describes what he does same as I understand it... its a gift, but then, can be horribly hard. I don't like people knowing me THAT well, feel translucent!

much enjoyed

i also thought that the poetry was your poetic side finding its way out of your mundane self,
i interpreted as such because i know when i write , i find myself writing about things that i may not have been in touch with before i actaully sat down and uncoverd the voice within.
i enjoyed this much tho, though i might hve put my own spin on it............thanks for your sweet poetry
