Diamondized

heated up
and polished
you shaped
yourself
until light
danced
through you
but when
the sun
left and
the rain stayed
your glass
fell apart
and you
were nothing more
than a castle
in the sand

"It is like looking for a blizzard in a glass snowball. Unless you shake it up not one flake will fly."

Just proves that 'diamonds' are not always a girl's best friend.
Well written, sad.

Helen...this reminded me of one that I've been working on for over a year now...enjoyed the quality of writing but the disappointment conveyed in word just aches...
