Pick me up from this life.
Lead me from the tearful strife.
Take me from the crashing waves
And help me focus on Your ways.

Let my tears be of Your joy,
And help me never to destroy
The worthy land, and people You
Love and give Your patience to.

Help me from the wrecking sin
Consuming all that’s held within.
And show me how to fight the fight,
Of warriors, winning in the Right.

I can’t quite comprehend it all,
But I know you help me when I fall
And now just pick me from the ground,
Before I falter, choke and drown.

- And so it was that time stood still -
     (blink, breathe, stand, fight)

Alyssa,

Very well written and not too religious; something all can relate to. This is especially heartfelt. A wonderful prayer. You seem to be able to put into poetic words how many think and feel. Love it!

Hugs, Pat

thanks to each of the three of you. I'm glad you liked it..
and yes, certainly isn't all bad to live by words..such as, these. I was only trying to remind myself of my hope
