Within

I have never
felt this pull
no nothing
like this
in the something
I don’t have
the thing
that I miss
I sit and think
remembering
the bath
of your touch
how that rain
changed the parched
soaking where
the dry
needed much
now there is
an aching
where a different
ache had been
a longing for
that liquid
that starts outside
to gently quench
within
