It's the pink of flowers I remember
bright and deep, the buds seemed asleep
wrapped in velvet layers of color.

They lined the walk in perfect pink fashion
inner shade a deep red, dark hue
of the passion imbedded within the bloom.

They burst open in the afternoon sun
bleeding upon the landscape a crimson
tint, small splashes of vibrant ruby blossom.

The walk that day, seems to me now
so far away, yet the colors I remember

painting a picture
      in scarlet
         upon my mind.

nice use of color to set the stage and the feel.. you paint a good picture here.. it is both vivid and real...

(sigh) This is lovely, sweet friend, this made me smile as I love nature in its entirety and wish I could dream in the meadows all the long day through as my repertoire!
