Geesh,
why do I think back to then?
You didin't know me well,
It was late ,
and I wondered
what you thought
Of me.

I ran away like Cinderella
in need of
losing both time,
and my shoe,
not stopping to pick it up.

I couldn't stop,
to busy with the pleasures of giggling,
but ashamed
of thoughts that appeared
leaving me with damp dreams
illicit

Your cards
Unshown
still face down
yet eyes brimming sex appeal,
an unspoken invitation
I believed
The growing tensions
Between you and me

left me a fool,
thinking you wanted me
while I was longing
To discover everything
under shared blanket of love.

Your words
dealt another hand
and I lost my ante
as I put on poker faced laugh
saying the stakes
were too high.

This was a sure bet--enjoyed the twists of metaphor here.

Yes,  you both used metaphors very well to
create neat little twists of the meaning
within.  Nice job...

Can only say what everyone else did.

Plus, great little slice of life, but we sure do have to know, first, if there is a Joker in the deck of life.

You two play partners well in the poetry writing game.

Enjoyed, Pat

Thanks to all... Charisma does indeed deserve the credit here as the words and metaphors are hers... In this case I was editor not creator.
