Upon the Wind

I hear the meadows calling me.
The dancing breeze and greenery
The butterflies that hover there
The colors that the flowers bare

It comes to me each day it seems.
In wakefulness and in my dreams
It whispers in a spirits dwell.
A feeling that I cannot quell

It takes my hand and leads my soul.
Beyond the real abyss of toll
On to a road of love and bliss
And all of this by mental kiss

Who would not pray, sign a lease?
A garden with a stay of peace
A promised land with sun and friend
A paradox with happy end

So if you hear the meadows call.
Wrap it round you like a shawl.

Many, many times I have left this weary world behind ...
to wander the glorious gardens of your mind.
Who could resist the verdant verses of your green,
we wish to exist in your rhyme scheme dreams.

In your Eden's escape there grows a rose ...
buds bursting in the beauty of your rhymed repose.

~~

consider this a mental kiss *L*
