For Apricot...

Who would know
Looking upon your youth
That your slender shoulders
Carry far more weight
Than anyone should?

I remember when
Your smile was free
& Caution had no place
Within the honey brown
Of your unadulterated gaze

But you have come to know
The greatest loss of all
& These strong brown arms
Cannot reach to repair even
The smallest corner
Of your broken heart

But I am here

Insensitive ones speak
Carelessly of what
They do not know
Pointing fingers
Offering false comfort
Mature but jaded eyes
View a figure unmarred
But fail to see a soul
Now scarred
Still, you stride proud
& sure
Unwilling to dignify or
Acknowledge this sort

I am so proud...

You'd beheld & bonded
With your brand new little one
A few precious moments
I, for little more than
Twenty years
Yet you, my beloved daughter
Have taught me
The true meaning
Of Motherhood...

beautiful words she will surely treasure, from a mother's heart---lovely and so very touching..

Wow. Very, very touching. Seeing our loved ones in pain is heart-wrenching; seeing them carry it with such grace, speaks well of what they've been taught.

This is beautiful. I'm sure that she loves it.
One part that jumped out at me was......
"Insensitive ones speak
Carelessly of what
They do not know
Pointing fingers
Offering false comfort
Mature but jadded eyes
View a figure unmarred
But fail to see a soul
Now scarred
Still, you stride proud
& sure
Unwilling to dignify or
Ackowledge this sort"

Before someone walks in another person's shoes, they can not completely understand what someone else is going through. Therefore, they should keep their judgmental opinions to themselves.....

And this is perfect,  exactly what a daughter
would need of a mother..compassion and
support,  continued understand and love.

Your words certainly contain all of this.
