“WITCH OF THE CYPRESS”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Dark shadows reign dancing in the mist,
soft breezes of your breath caressing,
touching lips soft beckoning for yours,
pressing exhilaration, slowly abducting…
Minds are senseless with subtle desires,
purple martins heard at dusk to sing,
yet the night creeps in its darkness,
owls screech, beguiling in their calling…
I see you here, then there, feeling you,
touching, tender sighs of whispers burning,
chants said, unheard of in years of thousands,
melodic songs told, sung with your thirsting…
Shadow witch of the cypress swamp you are,
whirling, slipping, sliding, slithering through,
into this warlocks heart of steel cold ice,
warming it, stirring it, with passions for you…
~~~~

I still like it,  I don't care which one you
put up here on the boards...They are both
just fine in my opinion..

Bill... Enjoyed the tenderness of this.
One question, should the word marlins be martins?
I'm not one for pointing out these things, it just caught my eye...Paul

I can feel the romantic shadows, and hear the lapping waters. This is lovely.

HUGE SMILES.

You capture the scene from Cypress Park so beautifully. Gorgeous...

I'll have to take pictures to post. It IS much like that. When the fog hangs in the field, I feel the presence of pirates.

So glad that you are feeling better m'friend.
You have a lovely romantic touch with your quill and? You just made my night.

Thank you.

Bill,

Not sure how I missed this one. It is fantastic. I enjoyed each and every descriptive line, woven through, of course, always the romance...

Very well written,
Pat

BC, such descriptive words that I felt I was lurking about in the foggy swamp.

Seems your witch came out of the mist and captured your heart.

Hugs, Marti
