Those deeper waters
Chasing the reflection of the moon
In that river that leads to destiny,
Sapphire waters rise above my knees.

Grasses rustle softly,
The earth is sleeping,
Breathing.

Can you hear it?
Can you melt rain?
Puddles on the ground grew larger as I cried
I reached out to you
And you pulled away,

My feet were cold,
Bitter frost on the sand,
Course grains met with a drop of mist,
Something bolder,
Something sweeter was born

I love the way this one leaves the reader with a question and a nudge to ponder the different levels of meaning.
Well done, Wind.

your writing always makes me think--"can you melt rain?"--classic!  Enjoyed!
