Theme From Mahogany midifile

Introspect

So I find myself alone again,
But I’m living through the pain.
Yes your love meant everything to me,
But you were just too blind to see.
You will run away yet again,
When someone gets too close to you,
When all thy want to give is love,
And all they want to be is friends.

Yet I still see a distant light,
Buried deep inside of you,
Underneath the rubble of attitude,
Is the person I once knew.

Runaway, run away. Don’t get too close to me,
Throwing away what you want the most,
And in the end you’ll be a prisoner,
To your need to be free.

Getting over you is hard,
Harder than I will admit.
It’s true I have let go your hand,
But I hope someday again I’ll hold it.
I can’t bare to be too close,
And can’t stand being far away.
Unsolicited love and stubborn hope,
Extinguish fear and drive good sense away.

And just what are you running from?
Or should it be what you’re running to?
You seem to hop around a lot,
Looking for your perfect view.
Water colours run in the rain,
And oil colours fade over time,
And in each case the view stays the same,
Because it’s only surface, not inside.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Sherry, this deeply touched my heart, I have been going through heartbreak for a week and a half now and I can see Dixie will be deeply touched by this as she can relate well to these kind of feelings! (big hugggssssssss) Your words are always a hug to everyone, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sherry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

oh my...

Sherry, the midi just topped it all off with such an emotion...it opened in a separate window to the left and played as I read the poem.

I just don't know what to say...I see myself so much in this write...and I feel like the last stanza was meant for me to hear and consider.

I don't know how to thank you for this Sherry. You are truly a wonderful lady, and I'm glad to know you! Thank you for the light and hope for things to come!

You're an angel sending hugs...

Noah, I didn't realize .... been away for a while, Hope you and your lady friend are on the mend (or atleast your heart)

Dixie, I thought you could use a shoulder about now..... I assumed.  Thanks... not many people paint me as an angel....

Nancy, Klennex warning?!?!?! I didn't realize that it was necessary.

BluRaven, Welcome to Passions!!! Thanks for the heartfelt wishes..... They are appreciated ... just want you to know that 13 years has netted some pretty big changes ... I got married.... to a great guy.... one I knew even before the bum that inspired the poem above.... or the one I helped leave by my 4th floor windows.... {snicker} Dixie knows what i'm talking about.
My son is almost 13 and the poem isn't even written about "dad"... left that sperm donor when I was in my 2nd trimester. And he has NEVER seen his son (ok now I am rambling)
sufficient to say that I don't WAIT anymore and there is love out there to find.  {you have to kiss a whole pond full of frogs sometimes before you find your prince.

These are my happy endings
Luv ya,
Sherry
