During the daylight
She carries heavy bundles,
Laundry of the well to do ladies.
During the twilight,
In kitchen silent huddles,
Done a long day of many duties;
During the dark night
An old pillow she cuddles,
Dreaming she was one of those ladies.

Ah - but those ladies, in their own insular ways, have dreams of their own... We're never totally satisfied with "where we are"... Interesting perspective here, PG..

Thank you, Nan,
Pleased you liked it,
I took it from part of a much longer Chinese Poem,
Adapting it to just a snapshot.

yes nice perspective and I can see the influence of eastern style in the phrasing...
I enjoyed Gloom..
