The Ark

Raging embers churn within
Clammy umber turns my skin.
What will come the end of dark?
Who will save what lives this ark?

When will reason shine again
The dying green within the glen
A pawl of madness rocks the way
Blocking out our futures day

Casting shadows ghostly maul
Haunting all the echoes call
Hatred like an impulse wave
Feeds upon the fires grave.

Blackened brims each circles rim.
Burning out the slim to grim.
And each dying embers out
One by one in tears of doubt

Falling thru abysses night
Imploding in the abscess right.

About what you are penning
The makers Ark that he sent spinning
Leaving upkeep to all of us,
I hope we can keep his trust.

Sy,

"When will reason shine again

Blocking out our futures day"

Some days this is my ark.  Thank you for always making me ponder....

An extremely vivid stanza:

Blackened brims each circles rim.
Burning out the slim to grim.
                        And each dying embers out
One by one in tears of doubt

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
