Lilith comes to the men and women fair

Demoness or Goddess, must you be aware

For her passion stirs the lust, from the raven hair to ruby lips

She’ll guide into her enchanted garden, have you bow to her on the throne she sits

You’ll drain your blood into her glass

Give to her your wine as a vineyard giveth his grapes

Consuming you she’ll fill her flask

Take your sexuality, upon your soul she’ll traipse

Caveat, Caveat, Lilith will drain all of you

Make you feel so surreal with need to bleed

And when you ask to go, she’ll close her show

Leaving you empty, in love, she’ll spare no greed

And you’ll see her here and everywhere

Nights will never allow your escape

For you’ll give her your all

Her name you’ll call

"Lilith! Lilith! The rest of me please take!"

Dennis,

Interesting; well written; downright scary to think some do participate in such.... Sad, too.

warm regards, Pat

She sounds like one of Ulysses' side trips - She surely fits right into his genre... Only the strongest will shall survive her treachery... Well done, DH...

Dennis, some of this I believe is real, some I don't.......
I don't mean to start a controversy about demons, because
the Bible says they are real, but............

I think some things have been written from the fascination of the occult.......which is also very real....

But, a person has to pray to God (the REAL God, and Jesus Christ, His Son) to figure out what is real and what isn't.

My brother, in his younger years, got involved in the occult. He later became an ordained minister in one of the larger denominations. He is no longer a minister, because his wife decided after 30 something years that she wanted a divorce.
He still has strong beliefs, though.

Sorry, Dennis, but after I read your link, I started thinking about my brother, who is up North where I don't see him very often....

You wrote this poem very well, as you do all your work...
Thank you...

Thank you all for your comments. And garysgirl, I am in complete agreement with what you said. I wrote this as part of a dark poetry contest, which I don't write much dark stuff. Came across this link on the Wels.Net and was the first I heard of Lilith. Thank you again!

Very good.  To read both your poem, and the inspiration from whence it came, makes for some interesting reading!  Thank you, Dennis!
