The moonlight never faultered,
As it glazed across your skin,
Losing myself inside you,
The perfection of a sin.

Colors swirl and magnify,
All the tender words you speak,
Slipping without circumstance,
Into the beauty that you keep.

Connections of the softest kind,
Still live within my soul,
Smiles that held a promise,
That I was to affraid to show.

Even now I think of you,
As time grows thick inside,
Everything I feel for you,
Impossible, to leave behind.

You express the disappointment of broken promises very well.

So sad but nicely done.
