I was told your going to die *-62*

I was recently told you will soon say goodbye
And I'm trying so hard not to cry

I couldn't believe when you called me and said
The doctors told you that you had cancer & would soon be dead

And now you're telling me to say "goodbye"
I can't say that...I dont want you to die

Every fiber of my being is screaming "No"
I begging you tell me its not so

But you wont lie to me, you wont hide what is true
And now everything in my life is turning blue

You told me you loved me and asked me not to cry
But i cant do what you've asked, for your asking me to say goodbye

I dont know how to tell you what I feel
But believe me the tears and pain are real

You've been my best friend for years
you've helped me through my tears and my fears

You told me today that you will soon die
and I cant help you...all i can do is cry

************************************************

I was recently told my best friend has cancer...and that she's dying...and it hurts so much...because i cant do anything to stop it...but i want her to know that i love her so much...and if i could i'd take the cancer away...
i wish i could help...i really do...your my best friend...and you have helped me through so much...and now there is nothing i can do to help you...

I understand you pain and the feeling of helplessness. My mother was told she had cancer a month ago she pasted on new years day. My prayers and thoughts are with the both of you....wish I could do more. I know this is very little consolation.

Of all I've lost; I miss my innocence  the most.

Akira,  Death is very painful..

The best thing you can do is pray that your
friend suffers very little.  And try to be
strong for them,  but at the same time,
let your feelings come out as you have done
here.

I have endured numerous deaths in my family
over the years....and not a one has ever
been easy...  I asked God to be a merciful
God for a couple of them who were dying of
cancer...

Most of all....I have lots of beautiful
memories that will never die...and you will
too...

Cherish this time you have left....and make your friend smile.  I recently lost a friend to cancer also, and I think about her often.  She was so brave through the whole thing and fought to the bitter end.

It took a few months for me to allow myself to talk about her, but now I think of her often and talk about all the good times we had.  Keep making the Good times while you have the chance .

*hugs*

I know what you are going through...just be there for her, that's all, no matter how hard it is...I am going through the same thing right now. A good friend of mine has brain tumors...he doesn't have long. They stopped treatments last week. I know, it hurts.

Heart hugs to you. This is not an easy time you face, and all you can do is be there emotionally, and physically if possible.
Hold hands and cherish the heartlove connection as long as possible. Peaceful healing thoughts to you and your friend.

My Love's Grandmother had lung cancer. She was brave to the very end. It was hard on all of us..........

Hugs to you....

The rhymes in no way diminish the sentiments expressed in this poem. Thanks for sharing it. Sorry to hear it.
My neighbour, who is a single parent, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. It's the kind of thing that changes the mind of the person who has and the people who know them.
