All is well in hell

You know I've written a zillion lines about you
died a thousand slow deaths the past six months
cried out your name with the night and day pain
searched to find all of your needs and wants

I've told friend and foe alike about you,
as they asked what's wrong a million times,
they must have seen through my happy face
and with a missing heart more than I care to admit,
I've asked God to take me from this place

I've stood strong and battled long
have waited on love to get back to me
resisted others potions of poison
that they said would help set me free

I've spoken to your mother
said no to some others
searched every place for your face to no avail
craved morphine,taken Dexedrine
chased the rest with Jack Daniels,
they all have served me to fail

Maybe someday you'll realize I fought with all my might
I tried everything to regather
a will to live just for me,
on a prayer that I might shine again
I've exhausted the end
I've managed to pretend
that all is well in hell...hope your happy

Dennis, Well written. Only thing to say may you find renewed strength and reason to go on daily, in spite of this horrific pain... you have summed up completely the ending of a relationship...my heart goes out to you, may you find peace...

I hate to tell you, how much I enjoyed this poem...again, well written in that it captures much....great title.

keep on keeping on... I could feel the words, and ~ouch~ it hurt, but as they say, now when I figure out who they is, we can through one hell of a party....but as they say, this too will pass. heart felt (hug)You did good.
