MY PARTY I'm having a party tonight, I feel it's the thing to do. And because***"It's my Party! I will cry if I want to". If you don't like my party, then you're all free to leave. Tonight I won't be laughing, instead I choose to grieve. If you're looking for a good time, this is not the place to be. This party's not like any other, it was planned for ones like me. If you want fun and laughter, you'll have to go else where. This party is for the hurting, with hearts left cold and bare. Here you can shed your tears, at this party thrown, Unveil all of your emotions, here in this heart break zone. Everyone is welcomed, but leave outside all of your cheer. Only tears and heartache,is all that will be here. So come on in and join my grief. Sit and cry awhile. My party is quite different, here you don't need to smile. ***Inspired by the words of an old song that I was singing today... * That which gives light, must endure burning * |

Have to love a good pity party.... I've had a few of my own but they weren't that much fun! I like that song too, and I enjoyed reading your poem. |
