Such dazzling sky that cloaks this night,
ten thousand suns there burning bright
and though I've seen this all before,
such beauty I just can't ignore.

So many lovely things we miss.
We even sometimes rush a kiss.
We count by years, instead by day.
Before you know, life's slipped away.

Oh how the dewdrops capture light,
but being small, they're lost to sight.
We look right past them on our way,
as we rush through another day.

A sudden breeze that stirs a tree,
is still a wonder that fills me,
or a cool stream with rocks worn smooth,
creating music that does soothe.

The clouds so change shape as they pass
and on a hot day lose their mass.
We spend our lives in too much haste,
allow the best to go to waste.

The sound of waves when at the shore,
the birds in flight there as they soar,
the sparkling jewels thrown on the sea,
this is all such a part of me.

Oh, Michael,

This is really beautiful. One of your best. Enjoyed much. Many soothing, descriptive lines, such as:

.."dewdrops capture light"..

..a cool stream with rocks worn smooth"..

and this my favorite:

"the sparkling jewels thrown on the sea"

..."all such a part of me"... which proves what I suspected all along, you are one beautiful man, and a great poet!

Hugs, Pat

(big hugggsssssssss) Oh Michael, you are so right, and I feel saddened because when I was a boy I tried to live each moment but I was abused and rejected and never did, and now the boy still cries in me, now I've lost my Joanna and though I' stronger than ever, so much of my heart has gone with the loss! (sad sigh) I wish for this beauty to always shine in you, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Michael, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Ethel,
And I've missed being here.  Thank you!

Pat,
With praise like that I'm going to get a big head. LOL!  Thank you!

Chris,
So good to see you here.  Thank you and hugs, my friend.

Nancy,
Yes, we really should.  Thank you.  Big hugs back!

ThisDiamond,
Thank you for the smiles you send and for the one you just gave me.

Noah, thank you much for stopping by and I am so very sorry, my friend.  I had no idea you lost Joanna.  You're in my prayers.

Dixie,
Maybe it's the Native American half of me that views nature in such a way.  Not sure, only know that there's much peace to be found if only we're willing to slow down and take a closer look.  Thank you!

James,
Thanks for dropping in.  It's always nice to see you here.

Kacy,
Thank you, that's such a sweet thing to say.

Seymour,
Thanks and glad you liked this one.

Andrew,
You're very kind and thoughtful.  Thank you, sir!
