i am not a poet, but I try my words don’t inspire a poetic reply often times, no reply at all sometime they just seem like writings on the wall |

Amature2, I would like to say first that I certainly don't feel like a poet. But, I certainly do love poetry and I love trying to write it. When it's written from the heart, it will usually get responses and replies. I can feel that you wrote this one from your heart, too. And, something else I've found out here at this wonderful place, is that the poets who get the most replies are the ones who reply to the other writers poems. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, I think in the rules and guidelines it says something about if a writer wants to get replies, they should read the poetry of others before they even post a poem. I'll go look at the guidelines again to see what it says. Friend, I normally don't say anything like this, but I could feel the hurt in your poem, and I'm sorry that you are feeling this way. This is a wonderful group of writers here with heart, compassion, understanding, and love just flowing out of them. All of them are willing to help and be a person's friend if they want them to be. I truly hope that you get more replies so you won't feel this way....... please dont feel like this, if you enjoy writing and its therapuetic, dont reply on the responses of others, sure its nice to get a pat on the back, but if a place feels like "you pat my back, ill pat yours" then, you know its not always about poetry, but of friendship,too, which is cool. But then, you cant truly tell if its the poetry or that you are just not connected, so try other poetry sites, and write, on, sister, really, but its kind of groovy here and there on here, too, |

reminded me of one I wrote about how little time the words last.... we write because we must..and sometimes thogh not replied to..we touch others that simple have no words to reply with.... |

Do not fret about replies-- your words are read by quiet eyes. Write to see the pen dance page! Record the musings of an age. Write the words you long to hear. Write your joys. Write your fear.
