A Celebration Song

Sometimes I sat around  with my TV way up loud,  dyin' quietly inside.
Sometimes I sat around  with a beer & a mate, cryin', nowhere too hide.
Sometimes I hungered  for your gentle touch, wantin' your lovin' way;
Scroungin' on the ground  for any love I could get, tryin' to feel o.k.

   Anger was my main man  - Pushin' me a round
   Dancin' in the graveyard - I was headin' for

Sometimes in the Joint, in a bong or a bang, swallowin' whatever pill.
My life was slippin' by, a real nowhere man, just a fool on a hill.
Never knowin' what real love could be, feelin' on short pay;
I thought I was doomed for the rest of my life to live this achin' way.

   Anger was my main man  - Pushin' me a round
   Dancin' in the graveyard - I was headin' for

But let me tell you 'bout  the One I met, crazy as it may sound;
Came inside my heart, chased out the dark, turned my life around.
Jesus is His name, the Man from Galilee, and with His Grace He gifted me;
Now living is so good, even when things go wrong, 'cos I have liberty

   Jesus is my main man - helpin' heal my world
   Dancin' in my journey - delightin' in my  joy

He gives me peace and joy, new family on the way, a great place to belong;
And in livin' life with Him I have a Valley-guide,  helpin' me be strong.
What He's done for me He promises to all, dealing with sin and pain;
So my celebration song is for the very Son of God and Jesus is His Name

   Jesus is my main man - helpin' heal my world
   Dancin' in my journey - delightin' in my  joy
   (Repeat chorus to conclude)

God bless and keep you, Namaste!
Boh

I love the contrast in the song - and the scattering of song titles.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Lovely write, I think I'd like to hear what this would sound like played on a guitar.
