In fleed of light from slythy greave
the brollick comes from your believe,
a world of myth in sights and sounds
but with no words, to whit is bound

The elvan maid, with visage fair
has sparkling eyes and flowing hair.
With skin as green as springtime leaves
she brings the brollick, prince of thieves.

He steals the show, to make the tale
and slythy sight, makes heart strength fail,
the quacker doodle in its flight
gives way to fleed, on this dark night.

And if this tale, untold, but true
brings the race of elves to you.
Cease your whispers, still your fears
the brollick comes to bind your ears

In still of night when stars abound,
the dragons sing, in fleed surround
and then my children, hush your tears;
the quacker doodle takes your years

Till young again; before the world
was made, with words and signs uncurled
then shall the brollick face the fen
return this world to myth  of  then.

The fleed is swift, the brollick sly
the elves are hiding in the sky;
the dragons call, in slythy greave
creates the games of make believe

Thanks Pat,
this is one of those poems that you almost understand if you squint at the page.lol. I was simply inspired by Dragon Mistress' use of the imaginary word fleed.

Yes, Kethry....
When I was reading this, it felt just like and Irish tune

I love the fact that the imp is never far from the surface in you. While I don't pretend to understand it all - your turn of metaphor always intrigues - it does leave me feeling something akin to nostalgia. A wonderful write, Kethry.

Keth beloved one, when you play like this I’m always, always spellbound. The ease you have of weaving these gems is clear you really are incredible, Rabbie Burns couldn’t have written it better. As for the Rev. Charles Dobson he would be pulling his hair out in handfuls. I love it utterly utterly utterly.

The myth of sight flows o’re her soul
And into dreams she found her role
The fairy folk sold her into dream
Where things were not all they seem

Her skin bleached of all colour fair
She lay in the wicked boonies lair
She hoped that Rue the borick king
Would find the magic elvish ring

For the ring would free the knave
Who would do all that he could to save
The lovely maiden from the beast
With whom she didn’t wish to feast

The legends tell of Rue the wise
Until he was blinded in both eyes
By the hand of Sook the black
Who rode the wind on boonies back

Sook had one friend, the evil Mark
Whose hand was cruel as was his bark
The two of them hunted the good
And did things no one ever should

They ripped and tore out souls with glee
They behaved in ways maliciously
They have the maiden what will they do?
And who knows if this dream is true?

Marsha

here is mine but yours is much much better beloved. Keep weaving this is truly perfect.

rolling:
Love you always
and forever
Slushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

My, oh my! Look at all the people who stopped by to view my nonsense. Thank you all very much. I'm not sure what I meant by this and if you understand it, it means you know me better than I know myself. The only thing I know about this piece is ...it was right on the tip of my tongue *Grin

(sigh) Nonsense! I think not, for innocence is what creates such hope and if we can all only see these mystical realms I think is ore sense than any senseless violence or regiments of tears! (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is heartfelt, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kethry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Noah,
I am far from innocent but I do have a unique and optimistic outlook on the world and I hope you maintain your optimistic outlook, otherwise I'm sending the quacker doodle after you to restore you to innocence. *HuGS

passing shadows,
well, it's something - I'm not sure magic covers it.

I feel a bit as though I've just finished reading Jaberwocky... confused but pleased. *G* My enunciation should be elucidating after that tongue workout! LOL

I thoroughly enjoyed, Keth!!! *S*

serenity, lol at your reply, especially the blotter acid (I think) line. The ink blots in my world always look the same - and they are never right, except through learned response.

Charisma,
thank you, this was my doodle or at least my quacker doodle for the day.

suthern,
well I didn't PLAN it to be like Jabberwocky but it DOES seem to have the same feel. Which incidently, I still squint to read.
