Near golden sunsets

Frozen in fickle silence,
a switch that comes and goes,
I struggle with words that would empty my heart
but instead belie mangled prose.

Undying love is killing me slowly
sick fate separates us more each day
but I stare through tear stained eyes,
fearing to blink would take you away.

reads like a horrible suffocation via dry cleaner bag.

OH.

I meant that as a compliment.

But hugs for the emotion, apparent.
