have you forgotten me, during your daily existance
going from place to place, it has been a long time since
once, we were friends, your eyes shone
when I was near, now you are gone
I shake my fists, grit my teeth and curse
time wraps its fingers around me, could it be worse
screaming frustration, I wish for long ago
I try to move on, try to bid you adieu
but no I cannot, you are the ghost that haunts me
awake, asleep, visions in my mind I see
you are there, I am not alone for the moment
the moment passes, once again my spirit rent
