I miss my dearest Chipmunk girl
Her laughs, her wits, her words that swirl
Her strength above all, I know it's there
I miss the hugs that we once shared

I know the pain will some day heal
Although at the moment it is real
But know you're always on my mind
With memories of those days we dined

In Tampa, remember? with the English crackers
Oh dear oh dear, we were some wreckers
I think it took those people all night
To clean up remains, but it served them right

And thank you for driving the car ahead
To look for clues our Kethry had spread
It was on the hottest day of all
But still whe laughed and had our ball

It was such a delight you know
And I was so sorry I had to go
I would have loved to spend more time
But now we'll have to talk in rhyme

Your happy smile when you joined us there
I'll keep that smile, take it everywhere
I'll put it safely in my heart my dear
And truly hope to see you back, in here

With love, Titia

This is a lovely memory of your time together at the last poets meet Titia!
I'm so positive it will make Lyra smile remembering it.

Lyra does indeed have a way of making us smile, doesn't she?  It must be that chatterbox smile... Nice poem, Titia..

Titia, thank you for this sweet Lyra poem.
she is missed, but she is here daily in our collective hearts. Thank you for sharing the crackers, the crumbs, the laughs and the knuffles.

Indeed I miss her too! Titia such kind thoughts.

Titia, you write with such love and compassion. You are a very good friend to have.
I know that our sweet Chippymunk will love these sweet words you've written in your poem.
I miss her so much. Her love flows through her words in her poetry and replies.

Lyra, know that we are all here thinking of you and praying for you......

When Lyra is feeling better,
she will so appreciate the smiles
you left for her to follow...

just like cracker crumbs.
