Taking showers
no longer washes away
the dirt.
No cleansing rain
diminishes the pain.
No work
no gain.
Left in the dust,
choking rust
covers my once
shiny visage.
Spare me your dime,
I'm out of rhyme
and lost the time.
No amount of soap
will clean up
my act.

Does anyone have
a spare towel?

Ethel, I need a whole closet full!
Shadow, I have to keep it light for survival.
Kethry, good Q. maybe just cry?

I'm OK, it's the rest of the world that needs a KING size towel.

Time for a good long deep cleansing soak... Perhaps air-drying might be the solution... Nice metaphor, m'friend..

Nan, Does that mean we should get blown away? chuckling at the visuals...

Sy, thanks for crying with me for a minute; now let's go play in the sand while it is still under instead of over our bodies.

EXCELLENT!!!
that's all I can say

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Kacy,
i don't have a spare towel but we can both use my towel..that should induce some comfort, yup?

anyway, regardless of what you have done to make yourself so filthy, i'm sure the ones that matter won't mind one single bit...

ROTFLMAO at your reply, Kaile.
Hope that towel has a sense of humor.

I've got a spare towel Kacy, except it's ripped and kinda shredded at the bottom from getting caught in the washing machine. It's the thought that counts though right? Great poem!

A towel? Nope, but I got a spare scrunchy.
