Knowing winds blow
Across the plain of me
Left beside the dusty trail
Alone, you set me free

Backs huddled, decision made
Confirmation is what you need
And while I stand here waiting
I give you the blood I bleed

You stand but do not walk away
That is left for me to do
A decision that I should go
Was made alone by you

I turn back once to watch
good riddance dance of feet
slowly feeling your decision
was the beginning of my defeat

A very poignant piece - excellent writing and i love that there is awareness of the process of emotional development. You take the reader from empathy to sympathy. More please.

Wow. So well written and sad. Hate to tell you how much I enjoyed this.
So creative, yet you were able to touch deeply.

Warm regards, Pat

Sharon~
Ouch...this hits hard.
I agree with Nan...there are some great lines
in this, including the one she pointed out.
Lots of emotion in this and it touches deeply.

painful... but well done and showing a depth of feeling that I enjoy in writing...

glad you don't write autobiographically very often

Wow!

You said it all in three words "knowing winds blow" Then I had to read it and fall out of my chair.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Sharon, I know this feeling too, sweet friend, I listen to the winds for reasons of my own and it can be so discouraging how cold and blustery they can respond in the winter! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
